MedQUEST Health Career Exploration Camp will be offered in the following Southwestern Ontario communities:
New in 2010 - Chippewa of the Thames First Nation Program - July 5 to July 9, 2010 MedQUEST is a program designed to allow Grade 10 and 11 students to explore a career in health care. Students must be supported by their schools for demonstrating academic skills, leadership qualities, and interest in the fields of medicine. See our general information section for complete details. Call for applications begins February 23rd, 2010. Your support of a student is critical in making this project a success. Our hope is that by bringing together exceptional, motivated, like-minded students, we will be able to provide them with a spark to encourage further studies. Other programs in the US and Australia have demonstrated increases in standardized college aptitude examinations after participating in similar programs.
Please remind students of the on-line process. There are several components involved that include the student and parental consent and code of conduct forms.
Any questions regarding this new application process should be directed to the MedQUEST Coordinator. Contact information is provided below: Kathy Van Dinther, MedQUEST Coordinator Questions may also be faxed/emailed to the Coordinator at MedQUEST Central Office. Applications for MedQUEST Health Career Exploration Program will be accepted until April 30th, 2010. There will be no exceptions. |
