This summer, explore health careers while making new friends! MedQUEST Health Career Exploration Program will provide you with realistic experiences in the various disciplines of health care through state-of-the-art advanced simulator training, peer workshops, and the opportunity to observe physicians/nurses in a clinical setting.

• Are you currently in Grade 10 or Grade 11?
• Are you interested in exploring a wide variety of health careers through interactive workshops and unique job placement experiences?
• Are you ready to learn from and work closely with health professionals and medical school advisors?
• Do you want to participate in a simulated community disaster exercise?

NEW FOR 2010!  COMPLETE ON-LINE APPLICATION

Secondary school students must complete an on-line application.  The on-line application consists of the following components:

• Student Application Component (your personal information).
• This component may be completed on your own.
  
• Student Reference Component (your recommendation from your guidance counsellor, principal or vice-principal, classroom teacher, or coach).
• This component will be completed by the individual named in your application.
  
• Student and Parental Consent Component (your understanding of the requirements).
• This component will be completed by yourself and your parent/guardian.
  
• Student Code of Conduct Component (your understanding of expectations)
• This component will be completed by yourself and your parent/guardian.
  
• Student Health & Immunization Component (your up-to-date health information, including 2-step TB skin test)
• This component will be completed by yourself and your parent/guardian.

It is vital that these emails are included in your application.  A personal account will be created for you, as part of your MedQUEST application.  Email notifications will be forwarded to your address, your parents/guardians, as well as your school reference person. They will be required to acknowledge and confirm the information being provided on your 2010 MedQUEST application, as well as complete select components.
